PH Calibration

For better accuracy, frequent calibration of
The tool is recommended. Additional,
The instrument must be calibrated when:
A) replace the pH electrode.
B) After testing aggressive chemicals.
C) When high accuracy is required.
(D) At least once a month.

Calibration procedure
• From normal measurement mode, press and hold the ON / OFF / MODE button while OFF on the secondary LCD is replaced with CAL.
• Release the button. The LCD enters the calibration mode and displays "USE pH 7.01"
• The tester automatically detects buffers:
If a buffer is valid, then its value is displayed on the display and REC appears. If a valid buffer is not detected, the USE indication is active for 12 seconds, followed by WRNG, indicating that the buffer used is not the correct value.

 Two-point calibration

• Place the electrode in a pH 7.01 (or pH 6.86) buffer. Once the first calibration point has been accepted, a "pH 4.01 USE" message appears.
The message is active for 12 seconds unless the correct buffer is detected.
If a valid buffer (pH 4.01, 10.01, or 9.18) is detected, the tester completes the calibration.

A message appears on the LCD
The received value with "OK 2" and then per meter returns to normal mode.

Electrode maintenance

When not in use, rinse the electrode with water and store it with a special solution for storage in the protective cap.
Never store the electrode in distilled or deionized water!
• If the electrode has been dry, soak the tip in a special storage solution for at least one hour to activate it.

• To extend the life of the electrode, it is recommended to clean it monthly by immersing the electrode end in a cleaning solution for 30 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with tap water and calibrate the appliance.
