INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORKING WITH THE TESTER:
Remove the cap and turn on the tester by pressing the ON / OFF button. All usable segments on the LCD screen are visible for about a second or as long as you hold the button.
Dip the probe into the solution you want to measure, select either EC or TDS mode with the SET / HOLD button.
Carefully mix the solution with the probe with circular movements and wait for the reading to stabilize. Ie. Until the sandwich symbol on the LCD screen goes out.
The EC or TDS value is automatically compensated for temperature and will be displayed on the main LCD while T will be displayed on the secondary LCD.
To lock the display while in measurement mode, press and hold SET / HOLD. The "HOLD" message will be displayed on the secondary display and will be locked on the LCD screen. Press any button to return to normal mode.
To turn the tester off, press the ON / OFF button. The message "OFF" will be displayed on the secondary display. Release the button.
Before each measurement, make sure the tester is calibrated (this can be understood if the "CAL" label is on the display)
After each use of the tester, always switch it off, rinse the probe with water and store it with a closed cap!
SETUP
This mode allows you to modify the C / F Temperature Coefficient, Conversion Factor (CONV), and Temperature Coefficient (BETA). To enter this mode, press and hold the ON / OFF button until "CAL" on the secondary display changes to "TEMP", then:
To select a C / F unit, press the SET / HOLD button, then press the ON / OFF button once to enter the buffer settings or twice to return to normal mode.
To change the TDS value after setting the temperature section, press ON / OFF once to display the current value (eg 0.50 CONV). Select the desired value by pressing the SET / HOLD button, then press ON / OFF twice to return to normal mode.
To change the temperature factor. After setting the TDS factor, press ON / OFF to display the current temperature coefficient value (eg 2.1 BETA). Press the SET / HOLD button to set the desired value, then press ON / OFF to return to normal mode .
CALIBRATION:
For the most accurate measurement, frequent calibration is recommended.
From the normal EC mode, press and hold the ON / OFF / CAL button until the "OFF" message on the display is replaced by a "CAL" message. Release the button.
Immerse the probe in a suitable calibration solution: 12.88 mS / cm.
Once the value is read automatically, the LCD will display "OK" for about a second and the tester will return to normal, metering mode.
There is no need to calibrate the tester again if you decide to change the EU TDS measurement setting.
When the calibration procedure is performed correctly, the "CAL" label lights up on the screen.
To reset to default settings and clear a previous calibration, press the ON / OFF / CAL button after entering the calibration mode and before the calibration point is accepted. The second display will display "CLR" for about a second, the tester returns to factory settings, and "CAL" is automatically disconnected from the display.
